October 1: Diamond Ridges Hat - COMPLETED

Pattern # 274: Diamond Ridges Hat

Can you believe it is October?  Fall is totally here!  If only it would cool down -- that is what I need!  That and my pumpkin spices lattes.  I have had 2 this week (Peets version, not Starbucks), because you have to get them while you can.  Let's just say that the radio marketing for them is totally working on me!  haha  If you want a cheaper version though, check out this recipe from Stefanie, the Crock Pot Lady!  Anywho, today's pattern is totally cute.  I love it.  And it's super popular on Ravelry too -- 247 projects!

Updated 12/13/2011: I finished this hat and I totally love it. I am surprised that I finished it, because I had to unwind and restart it about 3 times. First, my hook was too small. Then I somehow made too many ridges (read CAREFULLY). Then I went back to the smaller hook, had the correct number of ridges and then switched up a hook size around round 5. It worked like a charm! It is such a lovely hat, too! I gave it to my brother's sweet girlfriend for Christmas. And, let me tell you, it was really hard to part with this one!
Instagram pic. Real picture to come soon (I hope)!

I think this is my "I'm tired of you taking pictures" face

  5. Hey Megan,

I love this pattern! :) But the link seems to be broken now. I looked around for the pattern elsewhere, and I think the website it was on is deactivated. Did you, by chance, copy the pattern?

    Thanks!
