This cute pattern is only on Ravelry (sorry!), but I love it! It was designed by Brittney Waterhouse and can be made into either a beret or cap. I prefer the cap, so that is what I will be crocheting.

Updated 5/3/2011:  I finished the hat and I LOVE it!  Super cute!  I still want to add a couple buttons, and then I will take a picture.  This will be sold at my Craft Fair as well.  If, for some reason, it does not sell -- you will definitely find it on etsy where you can snag it!

5/17/2011:  I finally got a picture!  Sorry it took so long.  I tried taking a few pictures on my  head but I looked spastic.  If it does not sell, I will get some better pictures and post them.  However, it is really cute, so I think it will sell!

Another Ravelry find - the scarf worn by Luna Lovegood in the movie series. I love how different it is. At some point I really need to stop commenting on how different things are from the standard single crochet patterns. haha This would be beautiful in any color!

Jan 20: Gryffindor Beanie (Hogwarts) - COMPLETED

Pattern #20: Gryffindor Beanie

This pattern was created by my Ravelry friend Pren, over at Wilcox Wizard Wares. She has some awesome crochet patterns, many of which are Harry Potter related. I am excited to try this Gryffindor beanie, because it is different than the other Hogwarts beanies that I made! I bet I could get Matt to wear it if it wasn't in Hogwarts colors. haha

Updated 1/23/2012: I made this hat for our friend who is undergoing chemo. Yes, this is the third hat for her. I love the color combo. Remember it from the Granny Beanie? Anywho... Here are my pictures with it before we gave it to her. And yes, it is totally reversible!

This is the second of our Harry Potter series. I found this in a Harry Potter search on Ravelry. Note to self: pick up knitting before searching again - so many more knitting patterns! Anywho, another small pattern, but also very cute! Do you all remember Dobby? He had a much bigger role in the books - I liked him better in the books as well.

Jan 14: Divine Hat (Hat Week) - COMPLETED

Pattern #14: Divine Hat

This is another pattern that I found through Ravelry. I love how different it is from the standard double crochet beanie. The author is Rheatheylia and I love what she does. I am going to use a few of her patterns here.

Occasionally, I will not have to post the author's picture, because I will have already completed the project. This is definitely the case here. I started this beanie right around the first of the year and finished it on the 8th. I really like how it turned out. Now do I keep it or give it away or sell it on etsy? Also, I need to get my wonderful hubby to take some pics for me - these were with my phone!

Jan 13: Durango + Robin's Egg Blue - COMPLETED

Pattern #13: Durango & Robin's Egg Blue

This is a pattern that I found a few months back (on a blog, simplebeans.blogspot.com,and then recently on Ravelry - in fact, Jenni is the one who introduced me to Ravelry - I really need to thank her for that!) and have been wanting to try out. Well that's not true, I tried it, but I stitched a bit too tight and there is now way it would fit me... so I unraveled it. hahaha My goal is to make this correctly. How cute is this hat?

Updated 2/14/2011: I finished the hat and made a second one the next day!  It was much easier than I originally thought.  I must have used a better hook size or something!  I made a green one (with Vanna's Choice yarn) for myself and a bright pink one (with some yarn that I found for $2 at Michaels who's name I cannot remember) for my good friend Jen.  So happy with how they turned out!  [And yes, I took these pictures real quick the night I finished them as well haha]

I love the buttons!  So fun!
