Mexico Getaway

Well this post sure got lost in the backlog! Matthew and I were trying to makes ome decisions in September, and our friend's offered us the use of their place in Mexico. It was a great way to get away and just think. We used to go to Mexico pretty often, but always to build. I think this was our first "no agenda fun trip" to Mexico since our honeymoon. We definitely need to get away more often!

Weekend in the Desert

There is not much that I love more than spending time by the pool with a good book and a drink. My parents have access to this great house in the desert with it's own pool. We get to go out a few times a year, and I love it more and more each time. This last trip was in between family night and graduation and I definitely needed some R & R. And yes, I totally got in some crochet time in the evenings. One night I got my Mom to watch Ramona and Beezus with me, and the other night I caught Monte Carlo.
My kinda Friday afternoon.... (on vacation it's okay to drink at 2 pm)

Oils & Jams, Lunch, Fun Manicure

Pool hair!

Olive Oil Tasting. So fun!

My Apricot Sage Jam and toast!

Dinner at Ruth's Chris to celebrate graduation. It was sooo good!

When we said we were celebrating a graduation the waiter magically
pulled confetti out of his pocket and threw it on the table.
They also gave Matt this super awesome dessert!
I am so ready to go back! how do you like to recharge?

Seattle with the Moms

Last October I made a quick trip to Seattle for a wedding with my Mom. I thought I posted pictures here, but apparently it was just on facebook. I found these pictures on my phone and wanted to share them with you all.
Wine corks at Robert Renzoni (I had a Groupon)!

Mom and I in the car. I can totally see the resemblance here!

The bride (my former college roomie) and her new husband!
In case you were wondering, I found a bunch of old pictures and posts in the draft format. I'm working to get them all posted -- no more drafts! Bear with me, and hang tight for some patterns that were in the drafts too!

Christmas in the City

Matt and I were excited to spend Christmas in the Bay Area this year. We drove up to my parents at 3:30 in the morning on Friday. Whew. We made it by 9:30 (no traffic) and had a fabulous weekend. Friday night we went to the City (San Fran) with my brother and his girlfriend, and my cousin (and other half of NewlyWife) and her husband. We ended up meeting up with our other family in the City to see Santa. Here are some pictures from that night!

Also, you will see my digression between the pictures about the missing pictures and sucky blogger. I will soon be switching to a self hosted site through wordpress. A hassle, but I'm not putting up with the crappy photo editing / uploading / album storage anymore. So. I need a new domain name. I can do megncreations.com. What do you think of that? Any other suggestions? I have been thinking about this transition for a long time (because I am no longer a crochet specific blog), but this was the final kick in the pants. Any ideas for the name?

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) into the City. Excitement!
[Right here is where you were supposed to see all of these cool pictures of us in front of the Macy's tree and with Santa, but it's not gonna happen. Google has switched it's images into Picasa - Google Plus and editing just does not happen. So the pictures are all sideways and I cannot get them to rotate. Bummer. It also means I will be switching blogging platforms soon.]

Bart coming home -- tired faces! That's my bro and his lovely gf
