Currently

This weekend was quite productive. For starters, I put up my Easter decor and painted my nails. Woo hoo!

I also started, and finished, a t-shirt rag rug. I have been wanting to make one of these for ages, but just never got around to it! My sis in law gave me a bunch of old clothes, so I decided to cut some of them up to make the rug.

I know the lighting is horrible, but I REALLY wanted a picture when I finished it at 9 pm. My plan is to take better pictures and write up a little tutorial / pattern. If you want!

Spring Crochet Along

Easter is just around the corner (less than 2 weeks away) and I want to get a little project completed before we celebrate. I thought some of you might want to join me in this quick challenge. Originally, I was going to make an egg cozy, but I have finished all of the ones that I challenged myself to make!

Egg Cozies (minus the sheep)
The patterns are awesome, but I want to make something different this year. My plan is to make an egg (or two) from this wreath. You can either do that, or make one of the cozies that I wrote about before.

Here are the pattern links:

I LOVE this little bunny!
Here are the details: This week, pick out the pattern that you will make and the supplies you need. Either write a post on your blog and leave the link in the comments, or just leave all of the details in the comments.

Next week we will share our finished products! You have until Wednesday, April 11 to post about them. That's two weeks from today! I hope you join me!

Oh! The best part! There will be some sort of spring giveaway to go along with this. I'm not entirely sure what yet, but probably something from my shop and some yarn. Because I just received a giant lot of yarn from a friend. Who doesn't want free yarn??

St. Patrick's Day 2012

This year our annual St. Patrick's Day celebration with Kevin and Lindsey was a day early. It was really low key, but I did make corned beef and cabbage for the first time. I used an amazing crockpot recipe.

I also made Guiness and Bailey's cupcakes. Oh man. So good. Pinterest is so bad for me!

This was all a day early because we were celebrating my grandpa's 80th on St. Patrick's Day proper. So great to see my whole family together (except my bro. :( We missed him).

Previous years: 2011 (Chocolate Stout), 2010 (post rehearsal dinner Guinness), 2009 (Irish Car Bombs), 2008 (Green Beer). I keep trying to remember what we did each year, so I have to write it here to remember. 2008 was the weekend we got home from our Honeymoon and I NEEDED to see people!

I just realized the pictures from 2008 have dissappeared. Where are they, google? You were my photo keeper. Grrrr. Anyone know how to recover pictures or what happened to mine?? Yeah. So all of my old pictures have re-appeared. That's awesome. No idea what happened. Did google hear my plea??

Finishing things up

I have not posted in awhile, and luckily that means I have lots to share! I finished that Gingham Baby Blanket that I was working on. I actually finished it a week before the shower. Woo hoo!  I also adorned a onesie with a crocheted heart, sewed up a fleece hat, and made a golf onesie (sewn on "green" and vinyl flag). You can see more (larger) pictures of the blanket on the project page.

I also made a pinecone. Because I started it last fall and wanted to get it finished. Not really the season, but I just do not care. It feels good to get something finished!

I have also made some more progress on my ripple blanket.

Oh yeah! And Matt and I celebrated four years of wedded bliss!  Woo hoo!

I am thinking of a doing a little Easter crochet along. Anyone interested?
