Here's to starting 2014 off right and finishing things. And we shall see if I actually complete this whole Crochet Every Day challenge this year. It's possible, but a long shot!

Pinecone Pattern
Last year I made an adorable little pinecone and I LOVED it! It is still one of my favorite crocheted items, and possibly my favorite fall decor item. That's how much I like it! Sadly, the pattern disappeared from the internet. I have it printed at home, but feel bad just giving it away to other people (it's not mine to give, right?).
Anyways, I digress. Planet June released a pinecone pattern today and I have to say it's fantastic. I know I usually only post free patterns, but there were a few of you asking for that pinecone pattern, so I just had to share this one!
I have not bought and used this specific pattern, but I can attest to the fact that her patterns are awesome. The products always come out looking like they are supposed to, possibly even better than you expect. So, if you were sad because you could not crochet that pinecone before, you should go buy this pattern. If you want, you can totally buy me a copy too! I would love to create some of the other pinecones. :)
And in case you were wondering, these are the (free) patterns from June that I crocheted in the past: pumpkin, pear, whale, candy cane, poinsettia, and christmas pudding (loved this one too)! The only pattern on my list that I have not yet completed is the rose.

November 21: Bountiful Napkin Rings
Pattern # 325: Bountiful Napkin Rings
Thanksgiving is this week. Yay! I'm excited to eat lots of good food and enjoy time with my family. This year, we are trying something new -- a buffet. It will be way less stress than cooking a meal, and the menu looks fantastic. But I have to admit that I will miss cooking / spending time in the kitchen!! Next year, I can set the table with these napkin rings!

October 26: Candy Corn Hat - COMPLETED

I made this gorgeous beanie for my nephew, Austin. It was super fast to make, and will make any newborn look like a Halloween candy! haha I was going to make some for my etsy, but then I saw that you cannot resell these. Oh well. I now have lots of yarn for making candy corns and other fall items.

I love this little acorn pattern from Lion Brand. It is not officially part of the cornucopia series, but I think it would be a perfect addition to the set! In the very least, it would work with the pinecones :)

Today we have a fruit for our cornucopia -- the apple! You are the apple of my eye. ;) haha I crack myself up sometimes. Happy Thursday. Thursdays are now my Fridays -- and I LOVE it!

October 13: Squash - COMPLETED

Wow. I just realized I have 49 followers on blogger. That's crazy. What started as my own little personal challenge has grown! So cool! So readers, what keeps you coming back for more? Is the sweet patterns? My random little comments that go along with each one? Let me know :)
And today we will continue working on our cornucopia with the next veggie - squash! We sure have lots of this around our house. Do you know how easy it is to grow squash & zucchini? Very easy!

October 11: Pumpkin - COMPLETED
Pattern # 284: Pumpkin
This is the second piece in our cornucopia. How cute is this tiny little pumpkin? Wanna know a secret -- I already crocheted this! Like last year. But I'm gonna stick with my challenge, and make another one for this complete set. :)

Updated Noember 15, 2012: I'm calling this done. I really do not like this pattern anyways. In fact, I threw the pumpkin away after this picture of the cornucopia series. I much prefer the other pumpkin pattern!

October 10: Cornucopia -- COMPLETED
Pattern # 283: Cornucopia
I put these patterns in my delicious account many many months ago. As in, last fall. I would love to have my own crocheted fall decorations -- wouldn't that be cute? I think so! Today's pattern is just the cornucopia part of the picture, not all of the veggies & such.... those are each going to have their own post later this week!
I think cornucopias are more Thanksgivingish. So I am going to make this week all about gratitude. Each day I will discuss something that I am greatful for. Today I am very greatful for my husband. He is wonderful and meets (almost) all of my needs! He encourages me in my craftiness, and is really pushing me to start my own business!
What is one person that you are greatful for? And, is it spelled greatful or grateful? I can't decide!!

October 4: Pinecone - COMPLETED
Pattern # 277: Pinecone (the link to this pattern has changed and I can no longer find the pattern online. I have emailed the designer and am awaiting her response. My apologies). The original pattern is completely gone from the blogosphere, but check out Planet June's awesome (but $5.50) pattern if you still want to make one.
Now that I look at it, I'm not so sure how "fall" a pinecone is. But whatever, no judgements here. We can do Winter a little early! This site is German, but is also translated into English. They have some fantastic patterns as well.

October 2: Pumpkin Beanie

Okay, this is really depressing. I originally planned to post this pattern, because it was free back when I made this beanie. But now it is not free. So I have switched to a new pumpkin beanie pattern. But I will leave my ramblings about the first hat, and the picture, because it is just that cute!
This is probably one of my most favorite beanies so far. I made this (I actually made 2) back in 2009. If you scroll around the project page on Ravelry, there are some really cute renditions. Someone turned one into an apple. Super cute! Anywho, here is my original picture:

However, I was crocheting it on a road trip (it's part of my Ravellenic Games challenge) and I decided to just go with it. It is small, but that just means I can give it away, right?
