Matt and I worked in the new garden today. I looked up from where I was pulling weeds and mixing dirt and compost and saw the kitten just like this.

August Break, the 24th

A few months ago we had a Mary Kay makeover night at Bible Study (well, in lieu of...). I thought I would share my before and afters today. :)
It is funny because I look at these pictures and immediately see the flaws.... there's my big nose... that's too much lipstick... my eyebrows look funky. Instead, I need to look at them and think of the beautiful creature that God made me to be - awesome blue eyes, long hair (even tho it is hidden), sparkle in my eyes, etc. Remember, we are each beautifully and wonderfully made! Oh yeah, and happy hump day!

Anywho, a couple months ago I said I would give something away to someone who entered my Patriotic Crochet Along. I was trying to decide what to give. I was thinking about making a patriotic cozy, and then just got busy. So, I will give the winner of that giveaway their choice of a patriotic cozy (which I still have to make) or another cozy in my shop. You (crochet alongers) do not have to do anything to enter, you are entered just by participating. However, you can enter the second giveaway, for a second chance to win!
So, you did not enter the crochet along and you still want to enter. What shall you do? Merely leave me a comment with an idea of what I should make next for my shop. Autumn colored cozies? A certain pattern or fabric for coasters? You can also let me know what kind of patterns you would like to see on here. Midsummer Doily

Anywhoozle, I think that it is pretty sweet that I finished a doily entitled "Midsummer Moon," right as summer is dwindling down. Wait, who am I kidding? It is definitely mid-summer in So Cal!! haha
The pictures are not the greatest, but they are taken (at 10:30 last night)! So there. One more pattern down, only way too many more for me to think about! And yes, I have like 100 projects on my hooks right now! haha
I wasn't sure if I liked the crazy colors at first, but it is starting to look good to me. It is not as florescent as it looks in the pictures though, more pastel. It is going in our Easter bin. As always, you can check out the original page with pattern link here (Midsummer Moon, Sept 25). And yes, this counts as my August Break photo for today. Deal.
