Today I will be giving away one item from my shop. Your choice. Whatever you want is yours! I am going to be adding a few more items in the next few days, as I have some leftovers from my sale.
I will also be giving away some sort of supply. Tell me whether you would like some yarn or fabric. I will see what I can come up with. It shall be a surprise!!
All you have to do is leave me a comment with your favorite crafty thing at the moment. Are you into sewing aprons? Crocheting hats? Hot glueing some flowers? I dabble in it all, but am excited to sew myself a few skirts, now that my Craft Fair is over.
Oh yeah, and I will give you an extra entry for telling me what you like in my shop and how to improve it!
Rules & Stuff: This giveaway contest is open until May 25th at midnight, PST. My goal is to pick a winner in the few days after that, and mail you the chosen prize within a week. If you do not get back to me within a week, I reserve the right to give the prize to a new winner. Oh yeah, and your email must either be displayed through blogger or left in the comments. I don't want to spend days trying to track you down! You have three ways to win:
- Leave a comment telling me what creative outlet you are loving right now.
- Leave a comment telling me what you like / needs improvement in my shop.
- Leave a comment if you are a follower (on blogger or through a feeedreader, etc)
Remember, each comment is an entry. One comment with multiple answers is only one entry. Good luck, and I hope you stick around awhile!

Just visited your shop. To be honest - I fear I can not give much advice ... am trying to grow my own shop and find it not as easy as I thought.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos and your products look really well made. The only thing that comes to mind - maybe a bit more variety ... like other things than coasters ...
But you wrote you are going to add more stuff ... and to be honest I often have trouble to keep my shop well stocked ... :-)
Thanks for such a fun giveaway!
And you are very welcome to enter mine, too. You can win some custom-made buttons. :-)

ReplyDeleteIn your etsy shop I love the colors, and you take great pictures, in addition to having adorable products. As an improvement I would only say to add more items. It seems the more one has, the more one sells. Keep track of when you list things and see if it has any effect on your sales, list at different times.
ReplyDeleteJust finished a mega sewing weekend of diaper bags -- so I am bagged out right now :) But I did learn the joy of the simple zippered pouch and see quite a few more of those on the horizon!

ReplyDeleteI always like fabric and embroidery threads. At the moment I am loving making individual hand embroidered bags. Embroidery bags and little draw string gift bags and tote bags. So many things that could use a good bag to help them get about.
ReplyDeleteOh and hand piecing my first quilt.
Your stock in your shop is beautifully presented and priced really reasonably. My only suggestion is more items and mabey some more variety in the types of items. Mabey childrens soft toys.
ReplyDeleteRight now my on-the-go project is socks--the perfect mindless (boring!) project for sitting and chatting at my kid's practices and meets. At home I'm working on quilts. Thanks for the chance to win!

My crafting moods cover a full range of projects (finished and unfinished!), but I recently started sewing totes, handbags, and purses. I am making some for Christmas gifts. My favorite part is choosing the fabrics for the different parts of the bags. I love love love looking at fabrics and imagining what they will become.
ReplyDeleteI browsed your shop and actually can't think of any way to improve it! No, that's not sucking up to try to win free stuff. :) Great pictures, great descriptions, great titles. My favorite part is how your shop banner shows some of the items you make so your viewers are already browsing just by seeing the top of your shop. Great job! I could probably take some advice from you to improve my own shop.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite creative outlet lately has been cutting out fabric for projects and swaps. Thanks for participating in the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy only suggestion on your Etsy shop is to change the font on your Title and description. I have middle age eyes. The font was a bit difficult to read. Your photos are fabulous. Love your I need coffee coasters. Best of luck to you in your crafting!

You know, I'm kind of a newish quilter and I've really been enjoying working on quilt blocks with vintage sheets. I'm in a bee right now and it's really fun to try something new on a small scale.
ReplyDeleteYou've got some very cute items! Now that you know you've had success it might be time to invest in a more eye catching banner for your shop. Something that just *pops* a bit more.
ReplyDeleteI am in the process of switching it up. I am getting ready to do some quilting and expanding my crochet ability.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm enjoying whipping up adorable PJ sets for my boys.
ReplyDeleteLove the shop! Have you considered adding more sections to make it easier for people to see at a glance what sorts of items you have in stock?
ReplyDeletefor the past year i've been really obsessed with quilting, ever since we started a modern quilt guild here, but now that summer is coming, i NEED to focus on making clothes for myself! i put it off last summer, so it's getting a little desperate!

ReplyDeleteI almost at the end of my first toe-up socks. Looking forward to starting something new! I'd like some fabric.

Your shop looks great, but you could get even better photos if you used a soft box kind of thing (easy to make yourself - google it!). It would get rid of a lot of those shadows in your photos.
