Wow.  I just realized I have 49 followers on blogger.  That's crazy.  What started as my own little personal challenge has grown!  So cool!  So readers, what keeps you coming back for more?  Is the sweet patterns?  My random little comments that go along with each one?  Let me know :)

And today we will continue working on our cornucopia with the next veggie - squash! We sure have lots of this around our house.  Do you know how easy it is to grow squash & zucchini?  Very easy!

Crochet Along -- You Choose!!

So I know I talked a lot about a crochet along.  I now have 3 options for you.  We can either do a fall or Christmas theme.  Up to you guys!

Pattern # 285:  Corn

What better to go with your cornucopia than an ear of corn?  Two ears of corn?  Or maybe -- Indian corn!  I wonder how this would look with a multicolored yarn.  Thoughts?

Pumpkin Beanie Pattern

October 11: Pumpkin - COMPLETED

This is the second piece in our cornucopia.  How cute is this tiny little pumpkin?  Wanna know a secret -- I already crocheted this!  Like last year.  But I'm gonna stick with my challenge, and make another one for this complete set.  :)

Updated Noember 15, 2012: I'm calling this done. I really do not like this pattern anyways. In fact, I threw the pumpkin away after this picture of the cornucopia series. I much prefer the other pumpkin pattern!

October 10: Cornucopia -- COMPLETED

Pattern # 283:  Cornucopia

I put these patterns in my delicious account many many months ago.  As in, last fall.  I would love to have my own crocheted fall decorations -- wouldn't that be cute?  I think so!  Today's pattern is just the cornucopia part of the picture, not all of the veggies & such.... those are each going to have their own post later this week!

I think cornucopias are more Thanksgivingish.  So I am going to make this week all about gratitude.  Each day I will discuss something that I am greatful for.  Today I am very greatful for my husband.  He is wonderful and meets (almost) all of my needs!  He encourages me in my craftiness, and is really pushing me to start my own business!

What is one person that you are greatful for?  And, is it spelled greatful or grateful?  I can't decide!!

Updated November 15, 2012: This cornucopia was pretty easy to crochet. Most of the stitching was done in the back loops, to give it that basket look. I love unique patterns like that! The rest of the cornucopia series can be found here.

October 9: Simple Crochet Shrug

Do you all remember what I said yesterday about asking my family for crocheted gift requests?  Well my cousin requested this cute shrug (hey Em!).  Now, I already finished her gift for this year, so this may be her 2011 Christmas gift. haha  Or she may get lucky and get 2 gifts!

October 8: Crochet Squares Afghan - COMPLETED

Pattern # 281:  Crochet Squares Afghan

About a month ago, I asked my family to email me their Christmas wish list -- crocheted items, that is.  My Mother in Law asked me for this, specifically.  Talk about easy, I know exactly what she wants!  It is a bit smaller that it says, so I may change it up a bit, but I'm not sure yet.

12/28/10 - It is finished!  I actually finished it before Christmas, and gave it to her Christmas morning.  The blanket turned out beautiful and incredibly soft -- I may just have to make one for myself!!  I followed the pattern exactly as written and ended up with a decent sized blanket.  To join the strips, I safety pinned each "joint" where 4 square should have matched up.  You would not really be able to tell if it wasn't completely straight, but it is anyways!

October 7: Comet's Tail Doily - COMPLETED

Today is my Mom's birthday!  Happy Birthday to my wonderful Mother!  This pattern was inspired by her, as she asked for doilys.  And yes, I still have yet to make one. But I have a good excuse.  I have been very busy working on tomorrow's pattern!

Updated April 1, 2013: This doily is gorgeous. I was afraid it wouldn't lay out straight, but a hot iron + starch did the trick. I could have blocked it, but I'm lazy. Still, it's a beaut! I think it's going to be a Christmas or birthday gift for someone special!

October 6: Octoberfest Doily Blanket - COMPLETED

So. I originally  posted this as Gina's Shells... which was a pattern from January 5. So now I get to find a new pattern and post it. :)

Updated January 5, 2012: I made this doily as a blanket and am really happy with the final product. I just kept repeating the rows until it was as big as I wanted. Very cool. Better pictures to come later! :) I used two strands of yarn. JoAnn Sensations in a variagated blye colorway and a bright blue Lion Brand Pound of Love. Same colors as the Gina's Shells Scarf.

I finally took some close up pictures... although I forgot to get pictures of the centermost part (actually the sprinklers were on and I could not use the lawn) and now the blanket is in the mail. Oh well.
