Completed Blanket

I finished this blanket for my friend a couple weeks ago.  And since today is her shower, I can totally share it now!  Yay!

Kitty Halloween

I made this Halloween costume for the cat the other day. It did not take very long, but the cat hates it! hahaha Here are some iPhone pictures of Skweaks in her costume (which will probably be taken apart soon).

Happy Monday!  So we are going to do a Sweet Crochet Along.  I am super excited about it!  I want to be finished by Halloween, so that gives us at least six weeks to finish this bad boy up!

Finished Blanket

I just realized that I never posted a picture of my completed blanket. The baby has arrived and is doing very well. Here are a few pictures, and I just realized that I did not get any good pictures on my camera, just iPhone ones. Oh well maybe she will use the blanket at their newborn shoot!

New Banner & Button!

I said the other day that I made the plunge and bought my first sponsor slot (okay, I bartered)!  Anywho, Jessi made me the cutest new header for my shop, and button for her page.  Adorable!

Editing in Picnik

I am taking the plunge and learning how to edit my photos.  After a few comments about how a few minor edits could make my photos that much better, I decided to just go for it!  I am using picnik, the free photo editing software through google.  So here is an example of a fun edit.  I added a cute font and brightened up and sharpened my coaster photo.  All of my etsy photos will soon be edited.  Whew.  I have to take it one item at a time -- because thinking of them all is overwhemling!

Also, I finally took the plunge and paid for a sponsorship spot.  Kind of a big deal.  That and being asked to be in a Craft Fair in my city made for an exciting month for me (August).  Here's to hoping I can get everything done -- and still be a great wife for my hubs!

Sidenote:  I just noticed the photo is off center.  Crap.  Guess it is back to the editing room for me!

Newborn hat

I just finished this newborn hat with the "help" of this 99 cent booklet from JoAnns... So worth it! Love the hat so much! It is super soft too!!
